We Were Never Meant to Lead, But We Do
by Chidinma Victory Oforji
At The Healing Studio (Ọgwụ), we believe healing is a right not a luxury.
We create safe, culturally grounded spaces where Black and Brown professionals can grow in confidence, overcome imposter syndrome, and build the careers they deserve. Your lived experience isn’t something to hide, it’s your strength.
We offer mentorship, coaching, and leadership support to help you navigate systems that were not designed with you in mind, especially in healthcare, education, and care work where career growth can seem impossible for black and brown people.
For organisations, we provide training, workshops, and consultancy to move beyond surface-level diversity. We help you shift from tokenism to intentional inclusion, using trauma-informed and anti-racist approaches that truly change culture.
At Ọgwụ, we don’t try to “fix” people. We walk beside you, helping individuals rise, and helping organisations become places where all people can thrive.
At The Healing Studio (Ọgwụ), we support both individuals and organisations on their journey toward growth, healing, and intentional leadership.

The Healing Studio (Ọgwụ) was created from lived experience by someone who knows what it feels like to be overlooked, unheard, and held back as a Black migrant person in healthcare and education.
Our founder, Chidinma Victory Oforji, a multi-award-winning lecturer, EDI lead, and doctoral researcher, built this space to reclaim identity, voice, and leadership not just for herself, but for others too.
We are based in the UK and work globally to support Black and Brown professionals with:
Career coaching to overcome barriers and grow with confidence
Mentorship for leadership in healthcare, education, and beyond
Workshops and tools to help you thrive in systems not built for you
We also partner with organisations to provide trauma-informed, anti-racist and decolonial training that challenges tokenism and drives real change building inclusive workplaces where everyone can belong and lead.
Whether you're an individual looking to rise, or an organisation ready to do better
We are the mentors Black and Brown professionals have long been missing.
